Collective
In the 21st century, there is room for a new way of living and coexisting. The demand for shared spaces—places where people can meet and connect—is growing.
Connection
Shared facilities such as laundry rooms, communal lounges, and collective outdoor spaces: with smart design, multiple groups can use the same spaces. As space becomes increasingly scarce and the sharing economy continues to rise, collective use is becoming ever more important. It not only makes efficient use of limited space but also fosters encounters and connections—fundamental needs in a society that feels increasingly individualistic.
Natural Balance
While shared spaces are becoming more common, people still deeply value individuality, comfort, and privacy. Balancing the collective with the personal is a key challenge in the new context. Here, the designer creates an infrastructure that facilitates shared use while making it feel natural and intuitive.
